concealed pistol license (CPL)

Our certified Michigan Concealed Pistol License (CPL) course meets and exceeds all state requirements. Participants will cover all State of Michigan required material as well as the following: stance, posture, grip, movement, concealment and cover, loading, reloading and basic firearm maintenance and cleaning. The CPL Certification course is an 8-10 hour, one-day course.

Handgun 1

Elevate your handgun proficiency with our comprehensive course tailored to enhance your functional skill set. Whether you're a beginner or seeking to refine your techniques, Handgun 1 offers a dynamic blend of hands-on training to sharpen your handling, precision, and speed. Explore shooting techniques, situational awareness, target acquisition, drawing and firing, and reloading and malfunction drills. By course completion, you'll possess enhanced shooting skills, heightened tactical awareness, and the foundation to have confidence and competence to handle your handgun effectively. Expert guidance and feedback provided throughout. Ideal for individuals of all skill levels, from beginner to advanced.

handgun 2

Building upon the foundation laid in Handgun 1, this course delves deeper into firearm operation and tactical maneuvering.

In Handgun 2, you'll dive into the next set of skills such as off-hand handgun operation, coordinated movement and shooting, and transitioning from concealment/cover. Our comprehensive training includes specialized drills on handgun failure training, ensuring you're equipped to swiftly address malfunctions. Unconventional shooting positions and platforms will challenge you to adapt and maintain accuracy under varying conditions. This course is designed to take your proficiency to the next level.

Prerequisite: Handgun 1 or other formal training. Must have approval from lead instructor before taking this class if Handgun 1 was not taken with BMD.

FIGHTING HANDGUN

Fighting Handgun is a dynamic training experience focused on real-world scenarios and force-on-force simulations. In this class, we prioritize practical skills and situational awareness, dedicating the first half to learning conflict avoidance strategies, legal education, mental and behavioral preparation, hand-to-hand combat techniques, firearm implementation, and simulated scenario exercises. Utilizing inert pistols or SIRT laser pistols, participants immerse themselves in realistic training scenarios to develop crucial skills and decision-making abilities. In the second half of the class, we pressure test these skills using airsoft, ensuring that participants can confidently apply what they've learned in dynamic and challenging situations.

Students are required to bring:
Street Clothing (preferably) - including bottoms with belt loops, belt, and must have a hoodie or sweater that covers arms.
Hydration
Groin Protection
MMA gloves (highly recommended)
Mouthguard (highly recommended)

If students have a SIRT laser pistol they are encouraged to bring their own, but it is not required. Everything else for the class will be provided.

Duration: 10am - 4/5pm (6-7 hours)

Prerequisite: Handgun 1 + Handgun 2.
